I’m having so much fun finding resources for May’s Asian and Pacific Islander month! As a middle school teacher, I found these great videos by ukulele player Jake Shimabokuro explaining math through music. In one of my folk song collections, I have songs from Asia and from the Maui people from New Zealand. Here are some recommendations - Sakura, Haida, The Snake Charmer, Tsuki, Jingli Nona, Ali Baba’s Farm, Arirang, Huri Huri, and Glides Our Canoe.
